To our wonderful and loyal customers and our Westbank community:
There are truly no words to describe the gratitude we feel towards our loyal Majoria Drugs customers and employees (past and present) over these past 52 years. It has been our honor and privilege to have served you, your family, and our Westbank community. Your support and loyalty have made our life’s work meaningful and blessed us with too many memories to count. You have given us the chance to provide a place of work for our valued employees, many of them joining us for their first job. Our wonderful Westbank community has embraced us and will be forever imprinted on our hearts. We are overwhelmed with gratitude and love.
As you may already know, Majoria Drugs (Marrero and Terrytown locations ONLY) will become CVS pharmacies in late January 2020. The healthcare and pharmacy landscapes continue to change at a rapid pace, and we are not able to adequately compete in this consolidating industry. To continue being the pharmacy you and your family can continue to use and trust- and a place where our valued staff can work to serve you- we’ve decided to make this difficult but necessary decision. Throughout this process, CVS has demonstrated an understanding and deep respect for our longstanding commitment to our customers and employees. They will help us to offer more choices and expanded services for our customers while providing our staff with superior benefits, pay, and advancement opportunities. For these reasons, we believe that joining CVS is the best path forward.
Majoria Drugs (Marrero & Terrytown) will officially transition to CVS pharmacy in late January 2020:
Marrero will close at 12 noon on January 17 and be closed over the weekend for renovations.
Terrytown will close at 12 noon on January 24 and be closed over the weekend for renovations.
Both locations will reopen the following Monday, where you will be greeted by most if not all of the same friendly faces that you have come to know and trust over the years. Your prescription files will be secure and continue to remain secure at each location, and the store phone and fax numbers will remain the same. Even though there may be some changes, we hope that you’ll allow us and our staff to continue providing your pharmacy care during this new part of our journey.
Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your patronage and support over these many years. We wish you all the very best of health and well-being.
With sincere gratitude: Steve Sandoz, Rhett Majoria, Mike Lacombe, and the rest of the Majoria Drugs team
